The Research Behind Priming:

A 1965 study by Ausubel and Youssef split students into two groups. Both groups read a 1,400-word passage on the endocrinology of pubescence and took a multiple-choice quiz 48 hours later.
The experimental group, which reviewed the passage twice before the quiz, scored a mean of 24.25 compared to 19.63 for the control group, which reviewed it once.
This finding highlights the power of repeated exposure to material in improving retention and performance.
